Breeding method

Our salmon fillets and portions come from the Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar). This salmon is farmed in Norway, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. Here, the fish are given ample space to swim and grow up on a natural diet. Thanks to strict controls and innovative aquaculture methods, the salmon's welfare is ensured and the environmental impact is minimized.

Features

Appearance:
Salmon is instantly recognizable by its deep orange to pink color. The fish has a firm, fatty texture and subtle marbling that contributes to its juiciness. The skin is silvery with dark spots on the back, a characteristic of this species.

Thawing tip:
Let salmon thaw slowly in the refrigerator (8-12 hours) for the best texture and flavor. Short on time? Place the vacuum-packed salmon in a bowl of cold water. Avoid hot water or the microwave, as this can affect the texture.
