Wild catch

We sell our cod ( Gadus Morhua ) as cod loins, fillets, and portions. These are wild-caught in the waters of Iceland and Norway. Our cod is MSC-certified, meaning it is caught sustainably.

MSC-certified fisheries operate with quotas to prevent overfishing and ensure healthy fish populations. Through close, long-standing relationships, we can guarantee our customers the best quality year-round. This brings you close to the source of the highest-quality cod.

Features

Appearance:
The cod would make a great addition to the catwalks of epicureans. A beautiful light gray to greenish-brown back in a mottled pattern elegantly contrasts with a stunning silky white belly. The modern white stripe along the side completes the look. For a more rugged look, check out the head: broad with a barbel under the chin. Beautiful, isn't it?

Flavor & Texture:
We've frozen the fish in such a way that all the flavors, minerals, and textures are preserved. Our cod is therefore tender and juicy, with a beautiful texture that falls apart when you slowly cook it in the oven or pan.

Preparation:
A classic Dutch dish is cod in butter sauce. Make the sauce with butter, a little garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and, of course, plenty of butter. Slow-cook the fish in the oven with some herbs or pan-fry it until crispy. Delicious with a fresh salad and some soft potatoes.

MSC
-certified. This certification guarantees that the fish is caught sustainably, with an eye to the future of the oceans. So you can enjoy a delicious and responsible meal with peace of mind!

Thawing tip:
For the best taste and texture, let cod thaw slowly in the refrigerator (8-12 hours). Want to speed things up? Place the fish in a sealed bag and soak in cold water. Avoid hot water or the microwave, as this can damage the fish's texture.

Packaging:
We sell cod in various versions and packaging options. You'll find delicious fillets or portions, as well as the very best cod tenderloins. See the product detail pages for more information.
